Mango avocado salad

Labor day is coming, add some fresh fruit to your BBQ table!  This is a very quick, easy and delicious side dish that compliments grilled meats well.

Spicy mango avocado salad

2 mango, peeled and diced
1 avocado, diced

Combine in a bowl, to a blender add:

2 tomatillos
1/2 cup cilantro
1/2-1 serrano chile, remove the seeds if you don't want it spicy!

Blend together and add to the diced mango and avocado, toss well to coat.  Sprinkle with salt to taste.  Refrigerate until ready to serve. 


  1. Krista--Would this still taste AS good without the spice component (i.e. no tomatillos or serrano chile)? I am a baby and can't do spice, but would love to try this!!

  2. It's great spice free. Just blend up a few of the mango slices for a bit of creaminess. Or blend up tomatillos, which will give a little tanginess without the spice.
